Become a board member
Board members are a crucial part of our Foundation. Your personal engagement in nominating yourself or identifying outstanding candidates is essential to our future success and will guarantee that the Foundation’s boards continue to be representative of the finest leaders in the Adams 12 Five Star Schools community.
These last few years have been pivotal for students in Adams 12 Five Star Schools. In the second year of a global pandemic, we set up 37 Resource Closets at local schools, launched an online career discovery center, and partnered with students and the FutureForward construction program to build the first house for homeless youth in our community. These programs reflect a strong and true Foundation principle: ALL MEANS ALL.
The good work showcased in the Foundation’s Yearbooks (also referred to as our annual reports) is a testament to the commitment and compassion of local schools, financial supporters, partners, and staff. These programs provide the launching pad to innovate like never before. It’s time to move from merely filling the gap to addressing the WHOLE student and wrapping big arms around the incredible work happening in the district. This will involve a shift in thinking.
Our shared commitment to equity demands that we serve all students according to their needs, no matter where they are. This new way of thinking is embodied in our vision for the big, sprawling five-city community we serve, as a place in which all students are learning ready, career-ready, and empowered to succeed. We know that vision is attainable by working together. Are you with us?

Tribute Gift: Make a gift in memory or honor of someone or someone’s special occasion (a favorite teacher or administrator perhaps), or to recognize someone that has had an impact on your life or the life of a child.

Matching Gift: Many organizations will match employee contributions which can double your impact. Talk to your employer to see if they have a matching program.

Become a Partner: Activate your values! There are plenty of opportunities for your organization to meet its corporate responsibility goals while partnering with the Five Star Education Foundation. We can help you tell your story. Let’s talk about how we can work together to meet our goals!
